I wish you well on this venture. I've taken classes in everything
you've listed. While I commend your attempt at shortening the
worktime, I fear your students will be disappointed. Part of the
necessary FX class time is for students to do a hands-on with the
techniques you show. I know that demoing prosthetics can take 30-40
minutes when teaching application and blending. (Types of appliances,
adhesives, trimming, pre-painting, filling, etc.) Let's not forget the
questions you get in class that eat-up time, but are vital to many
students.
How much time do you think your students will need when doing it
themselves? If you're doing litle scars or horns, it'll take no time
at all. But many may want to learn to do brows, ears, mandible
appliances, etc. When dealing with moving areas like that, there's
other things to consider. I took one class that lasted 2.5 hours on
appliance application and it was mostly demo, but I had prior
knowledge of appliances. It was invaluable to me as that class covered
foam latex (instead of the cheapo hollow latex stuff) and things to
consider when trimming a

Making prosthetics will take even more time as there are many
materials out there and oh-so many things to consider. Again, you'll
get a slew of questions that will eat-up time.

How you will cover this and the other items you mention in a hands-on
class, I can't imagine.

IMHO - Recipes are easily found on the internet. So unless it's
something groundbreaking, it's really no biggee.

Respectfully,
Kat B.
