I think he means that there is a GUI unit test runner for fpcunit included with Lazarus (and fpGUI by the way). As for the .lpi files, I don't think those belong in the FPC project source. FPC and Lazarus are separate projects, not everybody using FPC use Lazarus. After all, all IDE's worth using, should have a feature to create a IDE Project File from a program unit.
