The PIC32 has a MIPS32 M4K architecture and can do MIPS16e mode if desired.
I remember that a MIPS port is in the works, as well.
Do you know anything about it's state ?
Broadly working when I last looked: both mips and mipsel were OK on
Linux to the extent of being able to do a full native build, neither
were up to compiling Lazarus (but things might have improved since).
