Hello, i dont think that device was even intended for improved security;
besides low success rates, there's also false positives sometimes (even
in windows). I have best results with my right thumb, enrolling with a very
fast swipe and not much pressure on the device scan area: that way
you should get a fairly big picture and get 40/45 minutiae.

That eases the pain of inputting the password for each screen lock,
but i would disable the fingerprint reader when in crowded work area.
