I can confirm that with the patch, fprint_demo works in Gentoo. Sony VAIO VGN-SR250FN # lsusb | grep -i upek Bus 003 Device 002: ID 147e:1000 Upek I also made a new ebuild for libfprint-0.1.0-pre2, because in the wschlich overlay the last ebuild is for libfprint 0.0.5. The ebuild is attached, and it works with Hugo's patch withouth any modification. The fprint_demo it's a little slow to enroll the fingerprint, and even slower to verify it; but it works and I can see it.
