Just one more thing: When my son was in high school, he went to a meeting of students from all over the state to discuss local governance issues. The meeting was in Worcester, and he was shocked when a couple of Worcester students had some specific complaints about school issues there, addressed a representative from the Worcester mayor's office, and were told that he didn't have to answer to them, they were just kids!
I cannot imagine a Framingham official doing that. The last time one of them tried that on a 16-year-old here, the kid took a petition to the Stop and Shop, collected 300 signatures, forced the calling of a special town meeting to address the issue, won overwhelming support, and created a "wedge" issue which helped oust the town official at the next election.
