for all of you that are frustrated by developers and the way their plans
seem to all too easily be put in place, the following article from today's
boston globe might be of interest.

 from a land-use consultant "..Massachusetts is backward when it comes to
land-use law".
from the american planning assoc .."the framework for development in
Massachusetts one of the most outdated in the nation"

for more on some of the troubling provisions read the article.

as an MIT professor said a supportive governor would be an important "piece
of the puzzle", it might be interesting to find where candidates for that
office stand on the matter.
