Let's start with the weekly Doeskin II report: The developer in charge has demonstrated his ineptness yet again by blasting without providing proper notification of his abutters. What's interesting is that the abutters who were not notified included the people on Kevin Circle who were harmed by the previous treecutting. The Planning Board will expend yet more of their valuable time to chase this newest mess down. In addition, the blasting apparently occurred while the required representative of the Fire Department was not standing by. I can only guess how much money the developer must have saved with that maneuver.
Nexum Development gave an informal presentation to the Planning Board on the direction of Ford's Meadow. The presentation was extremely attractive and really looks like it will be very nicely done. There will be questions to be answered, but overall, it looks as nice as it could be. I'm hoping that more details can be written up in the near future. I was very impressed with the "green" issues that Nexum is persuing. For example, they are looking at Dark Sky techniques of providing proper lighting without polluting the view of the night sky. Rob was also suggesting that they might donate this type of lighting to the Town for the street lighting in the neighborhood. Also, a suggestion was made to allow gray water irrigation to reduce well consumption. Nexum has requested a second informal presentation prior to the Definitive Hearing to ensure that what they are doing is converging with what the Planning Board wants. That is scheduled for Oct 8 at 9PM. -- -Time flies like the wind. Fruit flies like a banana. Stranger things have - -happened but none stranger than this.
