Subject: Question about plowing the churches.

Forgive me for CC'ing a few extra people but this question strikes me as
somewhat important, especially in light of the budget cuts that were
laid
out at last night's BoS meeting.

Harold Wolfe got up (in his inimitable style) and pointed out that the
22
churches in town are all plowed, sanded and salted by the DPW and have
been for all eternity. Given the state of our finances, not to mention
the
issue of mixing State and religion, I'm asking that we cease this
practice
immediately. The Town of Ashland was just hit by the ACLU for this very
issue. It's just plain unfair to all of us atheists and zoroastrians.

I didn't intend for this message to go out while it's actually snowing,
but I guess that issue was decided by a higher power than myself :-)

Can you please let us know what happens to this issue?

Thanks Peter.
