Hi Fred,
You can run multiple versions of FrameMaker without problems. I have 5.5.6,
6.0, 7.0, and 7.2 installed on the same computer.

Followup:
In FM 7.2 I backsaved one troublesome doc to FM 6. On one computer, FM
7.2 was removed and FM 6 was installed. The backsaved doc was opened in
FM 6 and printed to Adobe PDF (Acrobat 7.2 pro). The .ps file was
distilled and looks OK: all the text in the pdf drawings remains. So, it
looks like a FM 7.2 issue with pdf prints of SolidWorks files. I hope
there is an answer - don't really want to uninstall FM 7.2 and
re-install FM 6.
