FM does have HTML output via reference page mapping and with DITA has the ability to take content anywhere (though admittedly with additional technology involvement). So it's not quite just print and PDF that you get from FM as a standalone app, but HTML and XML as well. But yes, FM is primarily pitched (currently) as a print tool.
