Hi Tim, The Running Header/Footer variables cannot "see" the contents of previous files (unless your documents are structured). I would use Running Header/Footers with markers instead of paragraph formats and use FrameScript to automatically populate the markers with the correct text. Some chapters have multiple files, so they don't include a Chapter Title and sometimes not even a Heading 1.
