That's interesting, because back in the old days, when there was still a full printed manual included when you bought a copy of MS Word, that manual was created using Word. Layout-wise, those manuals were very large and reasonably sophisticated in design (and had much better content than anything you get in Microsoft's on-line help these days!).
Of course, in the old days, you also had to install Word from about 100 zillion micro disks ;-))) Alison From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Mike Wickham Sent: Wednesday, July 11, 2012 10:17 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: Support needed! The final selling point was a file I found on the Internet that showed Microsoft Press using FrameMaker. I was able to say "Even *Microsoft* doesn't use Word for creating books!" I've got PDFs of several Microsoft Press books. File> Properties> Application shows the creating applicaton as FrameMaker on some and InDesign on others. None show Word! Mike Wickham
