You've probably already checked this, but could it be that you changed
the "custom" or "shellnew.fm" files to use Lucida, so that it would be
your default font for new documents?

Dear all,
I have a strange situation in my FM-11.0.2.384 concerning fonts
(an explanation of the habit, but not a solution is at the end):
After the start of FM_11 - before any document/book had been opened,
the log is already populated with font messages:

The "Lucida Sans Typewriter SemiBold" Font is not available.
It will be replaced by "Lucida Sans Typewriter Bold".
The "Lucida Bright SemiBold" Font is not available.
It will be replaced by "Lucida Bright Bold".
ImportFormatsSpecial Version 1.0.4 loaded.

There is no indication of any Lucida font in the maker.ini files. The
$Home file contains this reference to "semi":
[FontWeightAliases]
Medium=Regular
Roman=Regular
Semi=SemiBold
Demi=DemiBold
Bolded=Bold
None of my plugins or private palettes (enh. vertical tool bar,
enlarged equation palette) use these fonts - and as far I know they
are not examined before they are used.
The only (unusual) use of Lucida fonts is in file
$HOME\clipart\Diagrams.fm - but i have never heard that these files
are 'inspected' during start of FM.
The system font folder contains these fonts (and shortcuts)
LucidaTypewriterBold.ttf => H:\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\Designer
8.2\jre\lib\fonts
LTYPEBO.TTF (Lucida Sans Typewriter Bold Oblique)
LTYPEO.TTF (Lucida Sans Typewriter Oblique)
LucidaTypewriterRegular.ttf => H:\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\Designer
8.2\jre\lib\fonts
LucidaBrightDemiBold.ttf => H:\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\Designer
8.2\jre\lib\fonts
LucidaBrightDemiItalic.ttf => H:\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\Designer
8.2\jre\lib\fonts
LucidaBrightItalic.ttf => H:\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\Designer
8.2\jre\lib\fonts
Lbrite.ttf (L. B. regular) => G:\Fonts\_FontGroups\Lucida-XP
*I don't get these messages in FM-10.0.2.419 with similar
constellation. The only notable difference is the setting of "Remember
Missing Font Names" = ON in FM-10, =OFF in FM-11.*
*And yes, these messages disappear alsoin FM-11 if
RememberMissingFontName is set to OFF.*
Where these messages may come from?
Is the system font folder examined at start of FM?
BTW: I'm a fan of the Lucida font familiy, because I personally know
its creator, Charles Bigelow.
Thanks for Your ideas.
Klaus
