Yeah. Broke for me in 12.0.3 too - I changed to doing "Print Book" to the Adobe PDF printer for this release and this seems to be working for the moment. This time, I have not run through the various options yet to see which one fixes it best for my PDF generation, so didn't mention this issue because I had not fully tested yet.
As always (argh!), this has been my USUAL problem with FrameMaker releases from each version of 5.5 onwards. I have to experiment and re-discover which selection (i.e., "Save As PDF" or "Print Book" to the Adobe PDF printer) and combination of options (paragraph tags, or not, etc.) works properly. Sometimes, it is a matter of changing options like generating paragraph tags. :( More often than not, Save As PDF is fine ... but this time around, it wasn't. But, I need to check the options to see if one of them changes the outcome. Having see the problem suddenly appear with the update to 12.0.3 patch, and disappear when rolled back to any of the previous FM 12 versions, I'm curious if this is a widespread problem or if somehow this single computer is subject to this bug. Reinstalling FM12 and incrementally updating brings back working PDFs with 12.0.0 and each of the two updates (12.0.1 and 12.0.2). Installing the 12.03 update breaks the PDF rendering. BEWARE! Craig ________________________________ From: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> To: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Subject: frame 12 pdf right page "blank" problem Date: Mon, 29 Sep 2014 12:26:45 -0500 My colleague Allison is having problems with right pages in her PDFs (coming from FM12 saveAs PDF) displaying as "blank" except for the master page information. The text and graphics are there, but not visible. You can click on a "blank" TOC page and the PDF jumps you to the linked paragraph (which may also be on an "blank" page, or not, but the link works so something is there in the PDF that contains both the source and target for the link). She is updated to the latest Acrobat XI (11.0.09), while I am one step behind (11.0.08) and not having this problem. I'm also on step behind in FM12 updates (12.02.389 vs her 12.0.3.424). I'm wondering if one or both of these updates might be causing the problem. Backsaving her book to FM11 results in a PDF that is normal printed from here machine using FM11. Any help would be appreciated. Craig _______________________________________________ You are currently subscribed to framers as [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>.
