Off the top of my head, I can think of three possible ways to troubleshoot this issue.
1. Delete the book and recreate it - this would tell me that the book file itself has become corrupted somehow. 2. Try saving each file in the book out as mif and then opening the mif files and resaving as fm files. Then update your book file and try saving. 3. Delete half of the files from the book file and try saving. This would indicate that the problem resides in one of the files that were removed from the book. If you have ten chapters, delete the last five. If the book still crashes, put the original five back and delete the other five and retry. If the problem is in one of the chapter files, you will ultimately narrow it down to the corrupted file. Then either save it as mif and open it and save as fm, or rebuild the file. -----Original Message----- From: framers-bounces+david.spreadbury=tellabs....@lists.frameusers.com [mailto:framers-bounces+david.spreadbury=tellabs.com at lists.frameusers.co m] On Behalf Of Aronsson, Martin Sent: Tuesday, August 08, 2006 7:02 AM To: framers at lists.frameusers.com Subject: FM crashes when trying to save a certain .book as .mif Hi all, Platform: WinXP Pro, SP2 FM version: 7.0p579 When I try to save a certain .book-file as .mif (via Save Book As), Framemaker crashes with something like "Internal error 7004, 4774952, 6370823, 6388968"). Other .book-files I can saven to .mif without problems. Any ideas for where to start troubleshooting?
