Hi Janice Do any of the documents give warnings when you open them; for example, missing fonts or graphics? When you open a FrameMaker document that has cross-references to other documents, it "silently" opens the other documents in order to resolve the cross-references. If the other documents have missing fonts or graphics, FrameMaker will not open them and will instead report unresolved cross-references.
There is a reliable way to check this: choose a single document that is giving you the unresolved cross-reference message and make sure it is closed. Then open all of the documents that are cross-referenced by this document. Now try to open the document and you shouldn't get any unresolved cross-reference messages. That is because all of the target documents are already open, so FrameMaker can easily resolve the cross-references to these documents.
