If you do a Find operation for the character format "Change Bar" to review each alleged change, you can manually remove the bar from any specific instance of the change markup by using the Character Designer. When the Find operation highlights an instance you want to remove, click the Change Bar checkbox *twice* to change it from a black checkmark to an empty checkbox (the first click changes the black checkmark to a gray, as-is checkmark), then click Apply (*not* Update All). The display may or may not update immediately, so you may have to use Ctrl-L to force FrameMaker to redraw the screen (boy, do I wish Adobe would fix *that* shortcoming of FrameMaker...).

However, I've not yet figured out how to >remove the change bars. In FrameMaker change bars are a character attribute. To remove all change bars, Format -> Document -> Change Bars... from document or book. To selectively remove individual change bars from a text range, create a character tag set to all 'As is' except no change bars, and apply it as required. There may be other, guru-level Black Belt methods, but these work for me. HTH -- Steve
