Just a follow-up to Scott's note -- Adobe's FrameMaker upgrade policy is one of the most liberal that I've seen from a major software company. You can purchase FrameMaker 7.2 for Windows at the upgrade price of $199 USD if you have _any_ previous version of FrameMaker or FrameMaker+SGML (the UNIX price is slightly higher).
Adobe has publicly stated that a new release of FrameMaker will be available this year. If the new version is a major release (e.g., FrameMaker 8.0), one can speculate that the upgrade price may be substantially higher.
