This is for Acrobat 7 -- might be different in other versions; Adobe keeps rearranging the menus. 1) Select Edit > Preferences. 2) In the Categories list on the left side of the dialog box, select General. 3) Under Miscellaneous, uncheck Automatically detect URLs from text.
