Thank you all for your answers. Four out of four peple think the user variable is the way to go, so I'll try that.
However, can I do a find and replace or do I have to replace the text with the user variable by hand? And how do I do a find and replace for the master pages, anyway? It only worked for the body pages. Thanks so much! the little ray of sunshine, Deirdre
