Hi Steve, Have you looked at creating multiple columns and then for the "heading" and "text that explains", define those as crossing-over all columns?
Done similar before, but it depends on how much is two column, one column, etc. And if it is a lengthy section within an otherwise standard document, put that into a separate file to simplify the administration of styles.
