Actually, it does. You can save FM9 files as FM7.x-compatible files in either MIF or binary FM format. Well, let me hedge a bit: I _know_ you can save as FM7.x (non-Unicode) MIF. I'm not as certain about binary FM files, and I don't have FM9 right now. But the MIF will get you there. IIRC, there have been a few issues going from non-Unicode to Unicode and/or back (as you might expect), but nothing big. Your contributors with FM9 should be able to send you files you can open with FM7.x and use with little or no trouble. Richard Richard G.
