Thanks, Jim -- this is a really great tip. Several people have?mentioned ?putting info on a reference page, or elsewhere in the document itself. That way, you don't have (1) a document over which you have gushed blood, sweat, and tears, and (2) a Readme spelling out all the fantastic things you did, and (3) a real world in which #as 1 and 2 quickly get separated and the next writer on the job has no idea what you did or where to pick up with the document.
