Theresa, Check the Help topic, "About Typing in Dialog Boxes" and click the Next link to find ways of using backslash sequences to represent characters in the Search and other dialog boxes. Also check the topic "Quick Reference (Windows)" -- or (Mac) -- and see "Entering Special Characters", which applies to text other than in dialog boxes. You can also type (in dialog boxes) the hex codes, \x22 for double straight quotes and \x27 for the straight apostrophe.
