Tables on spreads

To save me a load of thrashing around, can I just check that I'm correct in 
assuming that FrameMaker doesn't understand the concept of a 'spread', as in 
for example InDesign, i.e. two facing pages . I need to straddle tables across 
facing pages somehow.
