No .. I'm pretty sure that the only way to know if it's "in use" is to scan the entire file for the ColorTag value.

The ColorIsReserved, means that it's "reserved" by FM (a core color, perhaps, which can't be deleted).

I'm just guessing though. The FDK reference may have more info. I can look later if someone else doesn't have more useful info.

I have the Silicon Prairie colour tools but unlike the Para and Char tools, there is no

I've created a MIF file and am wondering how I separate the "in use" from the
"unused" colours.

At a guess, I would say any colour with "<ColorAttribute ColorIsReserved>" is "in use",
while any colour without that tag is an "unused" colour (per the 2 examples below).

Is that correct?

Alison

<Color

   <ColorTag `fm_gen_176169'>

   <ColorCyan  20.000000>

   <ColorMagenta  37.000000>

   <ColorYellow  50.000000>

   <ColorBlack  4.500000>

   <ColorAttribute ColorIsReserved>

# end of Color
<Color

   <ColorTag `Dark Yellow'>

   <ColorCyan  0.000000>

   <ColorMagenta  14.000000>

   <ColorYellow  100.000000>

   <ColorBlack  9.000000>

# end of Color

You can do it by editing an exported MIF. Check the book MIF as well,
I've seen them stored there.

Also, SiliconPrairie have a plug-in for managing colors, Color Tools.
