Looking at the Frame 12 MIF Reference, I guess what I want to delete are old System generated colors which are defined as "FrameMaker will automatically generate new colors when multiple tags are applied on text. The ColorTag tag that is generated is named with the "fm_gen_" prefix and appended with a system-generated integer."
As I have edited some conditions and deleted others, many of the System generated colors will no longer be in use. I'm pretty sure that the only way to know if it's "in use" is to scan the entire file for the ColorTag value. The ColorIsReserved, means that it's "reserved" by FM (a core color, perhaps, which can't be deleted). I'm just guessing though. The FDK reference may have more info. I can look later if someone else doesn't have more useful info. ...scott On 4/25/16 3:19 PM, Craig, Alison wrote: > I have the Silicon Prairie colour tools but unlike the Para and Char tools, > there is no option for "delete unused colours". > I've created a MIF file and am wondering how I separate the "in use" from the > "unused" colours. > > At a guess, I would say any colour with "<ColorAttribute ColorIsReserved>" is > "in use", while any colour without that tag is an "unused" colour (per the 2 > examples below). > > Is that correct? > > Alison > > <Color > <ColorTag `fm_gen_176169'> > <ColorCyan 20.000000> > <ColorMagenta 37.000000> > <ColorYellow 50.000000> > <ColorBlack 4.500000> > <ColorAttribute ColorIsReserved> >> # end of Color > <Color > <ColorTag `Dark Yellow'> > <ColorCyan 0.000000> > <ColorMagenta 14.000000> > <ColorYellow 100.000000> > <ColorBlack 9.000000> >> # end of Color > ________________________________________________________________ > -----Original Message----- > From: Steve Rickaby [mailto:[email protected]] > Sent: Monday, April 25, 2016 3:14 PM > To: Craig, Alison; Robert Lauriston; > [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> > Subject: Re: [Framers] Deleting Colours > > > > At 15:05 -0700 25/4/16, Robert Lauriston wrote: > >> You can do it by editing an exported MIF.
