I know Creative Suite 5.5 was definitely perpetual license and based on a quick 
eBay search, so was CS 6.0.

Tammy, Photoshop really isn't set up to handle vector graphics, such as line
drawings. But it can handle and output photos and screen captures. I use
both but prefer Illustrator. Illustrator's native .ai format is the same as
.eps. I import .ai photos by reference into Framemaker and it works
seamlessly.
