I have a word (e-file) that should never be broken between lines. I've tried following the help with no luck. I've even tried adding this word to my personal dictionary but don't have rights to the \user\name\appdata directory.
In such situations, I create a user variable, where I can use the non-breaking hyphen. In FrameMaker, one generally inserts a non-breaking hyphen with the sequence, esc-hyphen-h. It ends up looking odd in dialog boxes for things such as variables, but it always works.
