A good point ... it is far superior to any other solution to output to RTF for
Word!

Mif2Go will work through FrameMaker 11 for sure - with one file that needs to
be updated for FM 11, as I recall, but has not worked with later versions.

For a while now, I have meaning to look at the code and get it working for
recent versions of FrameMaker, but have not been able to justify the time ...
yet.

Particularly also, after I decided to get off the upgrade bandwagon at
FrameMaker 12 - with all my newer specs written in LaTeX. Given that it would
now take nearly $1000 to get to the latest rev of FrameMaker, this was a pretty
permanent decision!

Plus, Mif2Go was written with a much older version of Microsoft's Visual
Studio, and it would be best to bring it into modern revs of that compilation
environment before further work is done. Means more time than I can spend on it
at the moment.

Another thought is that if your version of Frame is old enough (Frame 10 or 11,
I think?), you can use Mif2Go to make a clean conversion from MIF to RTF. I've
never really used Mif2Go, though, so I can't tell you whether the
out-of-the-box conversion will do what you need or if it needs to be tweaked.
Since Jeremy's death, Mif2Go has become freeware; but as far as I know, no one
has had the opportunity or know-how to update it to today's API. It can be
downloaded from Github:
