That character shouldn't need any work. It closes tags, but without the opening tag (which is converted for you) it is "just" another character. Your dev group shouldn't need to do anything to deal with that.

We were going along well using HTML coding "<" and ">" When I save an XML file, all ">" is changed to ">" so is it possible for FrameMaker to keep the original text, or what is the standard solution for this?
