HI Dan,

Rick Quatro's Import Formats Special script will do this for you. One of the
options is specifically PDF properties to import, which holds the hierarchy
that you need. The standard import function of FM does not do this.

Subject: [Framers] Importing PDF setup from another FM file, specifically the
Tags (Distiller) hierarchy?

Good morning,

Am using Frame 17.0.4.628, unstructured version.

I want to set a hierarchy of tags to use across multiple files when creating
PDFs. According to documentation, I should be able to use File > Import >
Formats to be able to pull in the contents of the Format > Document > PDF Setup
screen. What's most important is the Tags (Distiller) tab and its hierarchy, as
it is fairly complicated. Right now, I have to manually replicate this across
multiple files, as the import process does not pull in the contents of that tab.

There is some documentation online about using the "Resource Manager" but that
seems to be a feature unique to the Structured version of Frame, which I do not
use.

How do I get to where I need to go?

Thanks,

DAN HARDING
