Due to accessibility compliance issues, I'm revisiting the various methods
Frame uses to generate PDFs.

FrameMaker 17.0.4.628 on Windows 11.

I'm "old school" in that printing to distiller works for print purposes, so
have exclusively used that method, partially because I find the Publish
workflow/methods to be nonintuitive AF.

I'm running into a problem where a given chapter PDF renders (visually, I'm not
talking about tagging or accessibility purposes right now) perfectly fine when
printed through distiller. When I use File > Publish and use the PDF preset,
the rendered PDF is missing text elements throughout the entire PDF. Elements
using certain paragraph styles and character styles are just not included. I
cannot for the life of me figure out where this is controlled.

It doesn't appear to be in the "Style Mapping" tab of the PDF settings (which
appears to be primarily for HTML and other formats anyway).

Where is this configured? Is it a setting at the paragraph or character style
level, or within global FrameMaker settings, Publish settings?

Thanks,

-Dan
