He had been ill for some time, but the cause of death is unknown. The Interbay Cinema Society and its Lightpress Grants are contributions to our filmmaking community that he imagined and created. He envisioned and we worked together to develop the Engauge Experimental Film Festival. A memorial screening of his films is in the early planning stages. I will let you know when I know more. If you want to offer a tribute to Jon, he would want you to go out and make an experimental film. Take care, everyone.
