Hi folks, We=E2=80=99re performing John Whitney Jr=E2=80=99s three-screen film Side Ph= ase Drift in a few weeks in LA, and are using Pageant 250Ses, partly because= we love them (and have three of them), but mainly because we=E2=80=99re run= ning the original era prints and the piece has an 18-24fps speed change, and= these projectors can handle both safely and well.
The projectors are not bad at all for brightness in the space, and we though= t it looked great when rehearsing the piece, but John was just curious if it= =E2=80=99s possible to get brighter lamps. If not, it=E2=80=99s fine, but t= hought I=E2=80=99d ask here, as it=E2=80=99s something I=E2=80=99ve wondered= occasionally. The Pageant 250S takes an EJL 200W lamp and we have the brightness setting a= t high on all three. The projector mentions not exceeding 550W, so I wonder= ed if this could mean that a more powerful lamp could be used. Anyone have t= houghts/experiences about this? Also, one of the projectors has an Osram lam= p in there and it=E2=80=99s noticeably dimmer than the other two, which have= Philips lamps, though all are 200W. Thank you!
