i've had experience of using screen goo a number of times at the gallery I
work - yes it has greater gain than normal paint but i have to say do not
think it at all worth the considerable expense and would not choose to use it
unless someone else was paying for it!
Also the surface that you paint it on on has to be completely smooth , as any
blemishes /pits/cracks which do not return the light show up obviously as dark
areas... due to its reflectivity
much better to use normal paint or buy a screen

Would anyone recommend a special wall paint for film and video projection? Is
there a special paint that's noticeably better than regular interior paint? It
would be for a movable projection wall for a small theater group space.
