Hi Frameworkers, I'm writing to share my interview with awesome Kevin Jerome Everson that was published this week on Shadow and Act.
Quick intro: Kevin won an Alpert Award last year for his many years of inventive true/false filmmaking, an honor held by Kerry James Marshall, Bill Morrison and Su Friedrich. He's an art professor at the University of Virginia and he's a great read. I'm a professor too -- I teach experimental films and black cinema at Yale. Shadow and Act is a blog on cinemas of the African diaspora. Link: http://blogs.indiewire.com/shadowandact/interview-kevin-jerome-everson-contemporary-american-artist-and-black-filmmaker Enjoy!
