hey folks
finally worked it out ... i'm using avid MC3
i had to:
open a new project in avid & choose 'film 16mm' format
import the master clip & split it into 8 subclips, each of which corresponded
to a roll of neg (the master clip = a telecine of 8 rolls of 16mm neg)
check the key numbers on the actual neg
punch the head & tail key numbers for each roll into the aux ink columns for
each subclip (in the avid bin)
do a rough cut with the subclips
open filmscribe & import the sequence
& after that it was easy to export an assembly list in filmscribe (just had to
make sure that filmscribe was also set to 16mm)
i'm getting a workprint of two of the rolls though, to test the assembly list &
make sure the numbers match ...
