Hey Herb, Paul Sietsema's *Anticultural Positions* (2009) is an interesting film in this context. It consists almost entirely of abstract images of paint and varnish on the surfaces of the artist's (he's also a painter) studio. Also, the sound track contains excepts from a lecture on painting by the artist Jean Debuffet.
