The Moviola flatbeds are not THAT hard to maintain, although sadly the company in NYC that had spare parts inventories tossed everything into a dumpster about five years ago. Still, the electronics are all fairly generic TTL stuff and there are few weird mechanical parts because the controls are all-electronic. The main worry is getting mag heads when they wear out, and with a little machine shop work you can fit Nortronics replacement heads in there.
That said, I spent $10 for my six-plate about ten years ago, and since then I have seen several of them turn up at auction with no bidders at any price.
