Individual Homemade Soft Serve Ice Cream 
(Serves 1)

2 tablespoons sugar
1 cup half & half
½ teaspoon vanilla
½ cup salt (rock is best)
1 pint zip-top bag
1 gallon zip-top bag
Ice cubes to fill gallon size plastic bag ½ full 


1.. Seal in pint zip-top bag the 2 tablespoons sugar, 1 cup half & half, and ½ 
teaspoon vanilla. 
2.. Add half a cup of salt (rock is best), and ice cubes to fill gallon size 
plastic bag ½ full. 
3.. Place small bag with ingredients, salt and ice in gallon bag. Seal. 
4.. Shake until mixture hardens (about 5 minutes). 
5.. Remove small bag. 
6.. Add any mix-ins (M&Ms, sprinkles, chocolate chips, etc.) and eat from bag!
