There was another exhibit at ACMI, might still be there, where they have a few old consoles on display, including the Odyssey and I think a Coleco Vision with the paddles (I used to have one of those).

It would really be the retro stuff I would be into.

I was thinking of going to Games Masters, but the price put me off it,

I'd say for that purpose save the money.

Is it worth going if you are not an all round gamer, that is, you have
niche genres you are interested in?
There are about a dozen gaming machines you still find in several pubs,
some PS2&3, PC based games as well but I think the ipad dominates. It is
used for background info on Software developers and companies (that's
what made it not a total waste of that admission fee for me) and for
games as well.

They got a display of consoles which is far from complete and not much
info about them either.

They claim to have 125 games you can play and visitors are advised to
limit the time at any one machine to 5 minutes.

Hi,

in regards to the games night mentioned at the last meeting, there is a
live distro called lglive and comes in two flavours, one is DVD size and
the other one CD size (suitable for children and older hardware).

I reckon using this also at FSD is gonna draw people's attention to the
event even more.
I was at "Games Masters" last weekend and it is pretty much just about
playing games for an unjustified admission fee. More info can be
provided.

Sven
