Yea, I'll fix both of these before the final release.

The database format didn't actually change -- the message box that says it did
was coming up because it detected a change from a version 0 (ie., no database)
to version 1 (database present). The crash on signaturing was because of
stale entries in your database -- a bug in the pruning algorithm would make
it attempt to signature things that weren't there, and something else changed
to make it crash because of that. Both bugs have been fixed in CVS.

Nope, you need to be connected to the net to access the servers to generate
things.. More control over how many songs are returned would be nice, but
that's something that's quite definately a post-2.1 improvement.
