Then it's a hard hang somewhere after the bpfinit call.  A better approach
would be to figure out which source changes introduced the problem by
cvsupping to certain days around when it happened, buildkernel,
reboot.  Once you have it narrowed down to a day, you can identify the
culprit commit.
