several endusers with WIFI Laptops are stuck as they dont have a
wirered connection and cant install firmware to their WIFI
The process to install packages from the DVD release media is
missing from the Handbook
Insert DVD in DVD player, gain root privileges.
#
mkdir /dist
#
mount -t cd9660 /dev/cd0 /dist
#
export REPOS_DIR=/dist/packages/repos
you may need to bootstrap pkg
pkg bootdtrap -y
#
then all PKG commands you do in this session fetches packages from the DVD.
such as:
# pkg install wifi-firmware-rtw88-kmod
Please add this to the handbook at the end of chapter 2.
