This really bites, when you try to watch flix on youtube et.al.
I personally favor "VideoDownloader" instead of the "native flash" stuff. VideoDownloader is an extension for Firefox that allows embedded media to be picked from many websites, including youtube and co. It installs a small icon on the status bar. open a page containing a movie and click on the icon. It'll display another windows that'll allow you to download the content.
