You have to install the PPD file into CUPS. This can be done via administration/Add Printer or Printers/Modify Printer. I used the lpadmin app to add the ppd file: /usr/local/sbin/lpadmin -E -p clj2550 -v parallel:/dev/lpt0 -P clj2550.ppd > Then I decided to install the Gimp.
