In vista there is a command-line tool for editing the boot sector:
*bcdedit*

And as you might expect there is a GUI for this tool by a third-party provider:
*EasyBCD*

It claims to be able to allow for vista/BSD dual boot but I haven't tested yet.

All I did was dual boot vista and xp with the help of this utility.
