My requirements may not be the same as yours, but I have experiences in two brands of KVMs: IOGear and Avocent. The IOGear KVM worked well ... for a while, then quit. I was not impressed by IOGear's customer service The Avocent, though more expensive, just works and works. I now have another on my DVI monitor.
